At "Future Lab," we are conducting a proof-of-concept experiment where visitors can experience technologies currently under development and exchange ideas with researchers.

◆Theme of Proof-of-Concept Experiment

◎Achieve AI that grows alongside humans while preserving individuality through AI development modeled after real people.

AI (artificial intelligence) technology learns from a vast array of information worldwide and evolves at an astonishing pace.
We view AI not merely as a convenient tool that answers human questions, but as something that learns interactively with humans and grows alongside them, focusing on the potential for new ways of interaction between humans and AI.

Using nine science communicators (SC) working at Miraikan as models, we trained an AI to learn their speaking styles and thinking patterns, creating an "AI Science Communicator (AISC)" that inherits their unique personalities.
The AISC not only explains the exhibits but also engages in dialogue with visitors while listening to their feedback.
By sharing this dialogue and feedback information with human science communicators and having them learn from each other, both humans and AI grow together.

◆Experience Overview

Visitors will be loaned smartphones with the AISC installed.
As you explore the permanent exhibit zones on the 3rd and 5th floors, you can enjoy conversing with the AISC about the exhibits and science.
If there's anything that comes to mind when you see the exhibits, or you have any scientific topics that interest you, please feel free to discuss them with your AISC.
