From Imagination to Implementation: Picturing Our Future with Robots<Miraikan>

  • 2022-07-08 ~ 2022-08-31
  • Aomi area

Imagination is the process by which we envisage the dreams that we wish to fulfill. Implementation is the process by which we give shape to these dreams via the power of science and technology. Repeating the processes of imagination and implementation over and over again enables us to create the future. At this event, robotics technology undergoing research and development across industry and universities will be on display, including the couch-shaped portable robotic scooter 'poimo', as well as an interactive robot that provides tourist information just like a customer service rep at a travel agency. During the exhibition, an all-new table tennis robot using AI technology will also be on display for a limited time only. Workshops and talks will be held featuring a mix of experts on technologies and ideas for creating the future, including digital clones that use artificial intelligence and robots to replicate individual people. By experiencing the joys of moving between imagination and implementation and the possibilities for the future, visitors are invited to join us in imagining a future society where robots are fully integrated into our daily lives.
