The 56th Tokyo International Exchange Center “Kokusai-Juku” will be held online!
The theme on this occasion is “Kana calligraphy -Japanese Calligraphy KANA SHODO-”.
“SHODO” (calligraphy) is a well-known as one of the traditional Japanese arts. In the Heian period (794-1185), it developed “Kana characters” developed not only as a form of writing, but also as a part of Japanese culture.
At this Kokusa-Juku”, you can experience the beauty and discover a new way of enjoying traditional Japanese SHODO.

*If you wish to participate in the SHODO class, please apply in advance. Participants will receive an email from the office explain the details. Please come in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
*Beginners are welcome. Experience the fun of “SHODO”
◆Participation is free of charge! Japanese to English consecutive interpretation is available on the day
◆SHODO class participants may view the lecture(15:00~16:00) at the venue.Alternatively, you can view the lecture in your own room, and then join the SHODO class after the lecture has finished.
◆You are free to take home the work you create in the SHODO class!
