Student Science Event: Genetic Laboratory – Thinking About Luminescent Bacteria And The Future of Medical Treatment <Venue: Miraikan>

In a few decades time, if we were able to freely recode human genes, what would society look like?

Hereditary conditions may cease to exist. We might be able to improve our ability to ward off diseases. Perhaps we would be able to design the way we look – becoming as strong and as beautiful as we wished. Yet it seems that things can't be solved so simply.

Through discussion and experiments, this event is an opportunity to think about genetics and our future.
